Luke 11:11-19

We live in fast moving world, preoccupying with our problems, dying for a solution.  Someone says, "We hurry, worry and bury."  Ten lepers suffered helplessly, living hopelessly and rejected by the society until they met Jesus. All of them have the faith to trust Jesus to heal their sickness but only one trusts him to heal his sinfulness.

What/Who healed the lepers?  Is it the leper's faith or Jesus's amazing grace?

"Were not all ten cleansed?  Where are the other nine?  Was no one found to return and give praise to God except for this foreigner?  Then he said to him, "Rise and go, your faith has made you well."(Lk 17-17-19)

We are not healed if we do not know our healer.  We are not saved if we do not know our Saviour.  "Where are the other nine?", "Where are you Adam?"  God's grace demands a response and usually a humble gratefulness is sign of aheart's that has been touched by God.

So amazing that Jesus said to this one thankful leper, "Rise and go, YOUR FAITH has made you well."  I thought that Jesus healed him.  Now Jesus honored the mustard seed faith of this man as the "healing factor" Here lies the dance of God and man, of man's free will and God's sovereignty, of man's faith and God's grace.  Man has to rely humbly and helplessly on God. God honors that trust and respond favorably then man responds in praise and worship.

Some people cannot see the blesser but only the blessings.  Once we forget the blesser, we will not enjoy the blessing.  Nine men had been healed only one saw that He is healed.  Nine men had been healed in the body, only one has been in the soul.  Nine men forget who Jesus is and one

Ten men know their plight.  Ten sall upon Jesus for mercy and grace.  But only one who saw where he is, where he was and where he needs to be.  He went back to Jesus and praise and worship him.

A humble and grateful heart is always a sign of saving faith.  Jesus responds to such a heart favourably knowingn the he hast conference.

    Dear Friends in Christ

I do regret that I was undisciplined when writing those two devotional articles above. I read them again with with great embarrassment. It was a "worry, hurry ....but not bury" writing. My excuse is that we are having exams this week and next week!!

Pray for me as I learn to write more effectively. I want to improve my writing skills for His glory.

Trust you do have a blessed weekend

With you all At His Majesty's Service
